Beloved wife of over 56 years to Peter Plotkin (son of the artist Peter Plotkin, Sr.). She was a distinguished veteran of WWII and died on "D Day" 1999 at USC University Hospital, Los Angeles, CA.

She was a volunteer worker for the American Red Cross Los Angeles Chapter for many years. A new building named "The Betty R. Plotkin American Red Cross Service Center" at 836 Calle Plano, Camarillo, CA occupied by the pulse.gif (703 bytes)Ventura County Chapter of the American Red Cross honors her memory.

A strong supporter of the Gallery activities of pulse.gif (703 bytes)The Peter and Masha Plotkin Memorial Foundation. She decorated the reception room and established a room in honor of her uncle, John Dominique, also an accomplished artist.

A friend and major supporter of Robert Knutzen and the pulse.gif (703 bytes)Pituitary Network Association. She struggled with a pituitary adenoma for several years.

A memorial service was conducted at the Gallery in her honor on June 12, 1999 to a standing room crowd. She was loved by all who knew her including her WWII Navy Wave friends and the pulse.gif (703 bytes)Christian Women's Clubs.

She is in a companion crypt at Pacific View Memorial Park, Newport Beach, California.

Survivors are her husband Peter Plotkin, daughter Pamela and son Paul, Jan her daughter-in-law and grandchildren Shelby and Courie.

She touched many lives and she will never be forgotten. She was a great, wise, and loving lady. She had an unusual capacity to forgive.
